So. Probably every one of our characters has a little something that didn't make the profile, won't come up IC, or will only come up IC under a certain set of circumstances. List 'em if you've got 'em. I'll start off with Aggie's in the next post.

- He's got Ode to a Nightingale, Sonnet 130, and most of the Lantern oaths memorized. - His favourite Lantern Corps are the Blue Lanterns. - The only thing Aggie can make in the kitchen without it being a complete disaster is salad. - When he's not wearing shoes, he always walks on the balls of his feet. - He's afraid of crossing the street in front of a bus. - He's got a slightly hidden connection to Tom Lyons. Marie, the wife of his pen-pal Bridget and mother of his biological child, was once Marie Lyons, one of Tom's two daughters. Tom's aware of the fact that he's a grandfather, and he's met Edgar, but he hasn't made the connection yet. - Aggie reads everything. He's even read a porn mag or two because he was bored enough. - Speaking of porn, he watches it sometimes. Because it's funny. - He does play the occasional video game. Mostly Portal and the Elder Scrolls series. - His Steam username is audactercalumniare (audacter calumniare), latin for "slander boldly". He usually goes by Fortuna Belli. - His favourite food is salmon. - Aggie has eaten gator. In fact he uh. Regularly eats it. If salmon wasn't so bloody delicious, it would top his favourite food list. - No he doesn't see eating gator meat as wrong. People do it all the time, right? Why is it any different if he does it? - Sometimes he eats wild ones when he's out hunting in animal form. He also does not see this as strange. - Aggie is a Grey-A. He just doesn't know how to categorize himself any further than 'asexual', since it's actually fairly complicated to get and keep him interested. - He can run fairly well in heels. - Spends a ridiculous amount of time fussing over his wardrobe and hair. - Does smoke. Granted, it's only once in a while. - He absolutely loathes paisley. - He's actually quite fond of thunderstorms. A little bit. Uh. Too fond, in the 'will probably be outside during one regardless of the severity' sense. - He's fond of anything that reminds him of the raw power of nature. Storms, the ocean, earthquakes... - It's not exactly a strength, but he's actually really, really good at braiding hair. He's grown his own hair out and had it relaxed/flat ironed several times before just because he felt like being able to absently braid it when bored. - His favourite film is David Cronenberg's Scanners.

Some of these will come up IC, but I thought I'd list them here anyway.
- Tom makes no effort to hide his scars unless he's going to some sort of social event. He also dyes his hair back to brown if he's not attending alone. - He plays the violin and plays it well, however he hasn't picked up the instrument in close to a decade. - His favourite way to really relax after contracting Versi is to sit in a dimly-lit room and drown every other sound out with either white noise or calm music. - Tom has a interesting collection of old cars. His favourite one is a 1936 Auburn 852 that he helped restore from the ground up. - He had 10 of them at one point, but he passed one on to each of his kids when they were old enough to drive. - His 'youngest' car is a '67 Impala. - All of his cars are either black, or varying shades of red. Nothing else. - Favourite colour? Burgundy. - Favourite food? He doesn't have one. - No favourite sports team either. - Favourite sport? Fencing and figure skating. - Even though he can't skate worth a damn and probably will never try. - When he actually does manage a real laugh, it's an interesting sort of... low cackle.

Wow there's a lot of these... They'll likely come up IC sort of, but I figured it might be a nice list to have about =3
Likes:
~Pink, lace, frills, and all things girly and pretty ~Swans ~Dogs. Especially /big/ dogs She thinks they’re some of the most amazing things in the whole entire world. ~Exercising and practicing. And that’s a good thing, considering she spends at least 8 hours a day /every/ day doing just that. ~Feeling pretty. While her usual outfit is a leotard and dance pants, Odette is a big fan of getting dressed up and looking her best ~Dancing. She's an excellent ballet dancer, but take her away from that and she tends to be rather /bad/. But that doesn't mean she doesn't love the freedom of it, and she especially loves dancing out in the rain. ~ Sweets. She almost never allows herself to eat them (as she keeps herself on a strict diet) but she adores them to no end ~Being read to. Odette is perfectly capable of reading to herself, but there’s something so /wonderful/ about curling up and having someone read to you. ~Unicorns. Or at least, the idea of unicorns, because she’s never actually met one. ~Her moped. It’s bright pink, she adores it and she’s named it Rosie. ~Movies with lots of explosions, and she’s not such a fan of romances. If there's going to be romance she wants to live it, not watch it. (And she does very much want to live one, although she doesn’t expect to until her ballet career is over.) ~Apples. They’re her favorite fruit of all time, and she generally eats at least one a day. ~Matchmaking for her friends. Odette’s a big fan of people being happy and romance in general. This sometimes causes her problems though, since as much as she loves matchmaking, she doesn’t love sharing. ~Playing pranks. Not /cruel/ ones, but Odette does like practical jokes. ~Making and giving gifts to her friends ~Books. She might not have much /time/ for it, but she loves reading, especially fairy tales.
Dislikes:
~Most of her fellow shifters. She’s not stupid and a large swan won’t fare well against most predators
~Swan Lake. While Odette loves ballet in general, she has a special sort of dislike for Swan Lake. She’s of the opinion that it’s just a /bit/ too on the nose to have a swan named /Odette/ dancing in Swan Lake.
~Laziness. Odette is of the opinion that lazy people clearly need to get their priorities in order and find themselves a goal. Her definition of lazy, however, can be a bit loose, and occasionally spreads to encompass anyone not actively /doing/ something. ~Blood. That isn't her own at least. Ballet is a demanding passion, and she's seen her own blood plenty of times. But the sight of someone /else's/ blood makes her physically ill ~Cars. She doesn’t like them at all. She cannot drive, has no desire to learn to drive and would much rather they didn't exist at all. She does, however, have a bicycle, a bus pass and a moped she is very fond of. ~The cold. Odette likes being toasty warm, not freezing the tip of her nose off. ~Men in general. Oh, she might find them attractive, but she doesn’t generally trust them. There are exceptions, and once you have her trust, it stays, but /getting/ it can be difficult. She’s not sure /why/, because she’s never been abused or assaulted, but that doesn’t stop her from trusting her instincts in that area. Men, after all, are generally much /bigger/ then she is, and outside of her home town her experiences with them haven’t always been pleasant. ~Reality television. Odette hasn’t seen much of it and what she /has/ seen has led her to the firm belief that it’s an American plot to destroy more elegant forms of entertainment.

Annnd another set of lists...
Likes: ~Boardgames (as long as they’re not Monopoly)
~ Sports. It really doesn’t matter what the sport /is/, if you give him a quick overview of the rules he’d be happy to join in.
~ Video games, more specifically games where he can play a support class. Charging into the fray really isn’t for him, but he loves chasing after people, healing and giving them buffs.
~ His fish, Captain Kirk the goldfish and Commander Spock the electric blue ram. They traveled with him to New York, their tank is next to his bed and when he’s upset, he tends to talk to them. He even carries a picture of them in his wallet with his pictures of his family.
~ Books. Mainly fantasy and sci fi, but he does reserve a special place in his heart for comic books.
Dislikes: ~Monopoly, largely owing to that being the one game everyone in his home town brought out when it was time to play a boardgame.
~ Dancing, largely because he’s bad at it, /knows/ he’s bad at it, and really doesn’t want to inflict himself on any potential dance partners.
~ Math. It’s the one subject in school he could never quite /get/ and he’s never passed any math class higher then algebra.
~ Crowds. He can manage to deal with them, but he’s far from fond of them.
~ Coffee. Hank comes from a family of tea drinkers and he’s never understood liking coffee really. Even the smell of it makes him a bit sick to his stomach.

Oh, look, more lists...
Likes: ~ Mr. Bear, his much loved and a slightly worn teddy bear, which he’s never seen without. Trying to take it away from him is one of the only ways to get him violent.
~ /Light/. Nightlights, flashlights, headlamps, Simon loves them all. He generally keeps at least one flashlight on him at all times, along with spare batteries, and he has a nightlight in every room of his parent’s house, and another one in his coffin.
~ Animals. He /adores/ animals.
~ Kids oddly enough. He hasn’t interacted with them much, but he sort of groups them in the same category as animals and views them with equal fondness.
~ Sarcasm. Simon is a big fan of sarcasm and using it well is a fast track to his good side.
~ Pockets. Simon is a /big/ fan of pockets.
~ Older movies and music. Most of what Simon watches and listens to was created decades, if not centuries before he was born.
Dislikes:
~ Stupid people. Or at least people /he/ considers stupid.
~ People who hang out in cemeteries. He’s of the opinion that the resting places of the dead should be quiet, peaceful places of sanctuary, to be visited on appropriate dates. Not the neighborhood hangout of choice.
~ Spiders. Simon realizes they serve an important part in the environment… He’d just rather they do it /faaaar/ away from him.

SATI
* She was raised Hindu by her aunt and mother, but in a very eclectic mysticism-style sort of way, so the way she interprets and practices her religion may be different from the norm. Aziza and Shakuntala are kind of offbeat in general.
* Her mothers (which is how she thinks of them, since Shakuntala is equally her parent as Aziza) are originally from Morocco. Their father was English, and their mother was part Moroccan, part Indian (there is a substantial minority population of Indian people in Africa, most of whom are descended from indentured laborers brought there in the 19th century by the British). I don't actually know yet what surname that they have; Beshara is the surname of Sati's father, which she and her brother kept since it was the only thing they had left of him after he was deported.
* Her brother Zahid is played by Brandon Jay McLaren. His relationship with Sati is one that is amiable and affectionate, but not attentive.
***
EVA
* Eva's father Aaron Isaachar is a gynecologist. He's quite tall. He comes from a family of Polish Jews, though he himself was born and raised in England because that's where his family fled to during WWII. He was there for the birth of punk, and he joined the scene. In fact, he still gels his hair in to little spikes even though it's gray now.
* Eva's mother Penelope Eugenides is an aromatherapist and masseuse who also makes decorations from junk like thrown-out wires and such. She's quite short. Her mother was Greek, and her father was...well, mostly Mexican, a little Roma, a little Chinese from the Gold Rush days, and a lot of other things they'll never know. She was raised by her maternal grandmother after her mom and dad ran away together. She's a hippie, and a Neo-Hellenic who worships the classical Greek pantheon.
* Eva likes Pogo, Garfunkel & Oates, and Nightwish.

- In any other setting, he's an orphan adopted by a minister. ... Thought I'd try something different this time. - If there's one part of his wardrobe that's constant, it's a pendant that he always manages to hide under his shirt. It's a 'Wolf's cross' on a silver chain. He's had it since he graduated high school. - He's not just interested in Christianity and Norse mythology. he's also looked into neo-paganism, Buddhism, Ancient Egyptian mythology, and Shinto. - His prize possession is the astrolabe on his desk. - He's got a tiny passing interest in steampunk, if only because alternate histories interest him as much as regular histories do. - The reason he's so interested in Norse mythos and history stems from his surname, Marwick. It's Nordic in origin. - He's the only one in his family to catch Versi. - Despite not knowing how to ride, he does in fact own a saddle and all that regalia. He's not impressed with his relatives' choice in joke gifts. - Basil is fluent enough in Old Norse to hold a simple conversation.
Quick list of things that piss him off: - Making a mess. - Horsepower jokes. - Calling him a pony. - "Your voice is a bit rough today, you're sounding a little hoarse." - Insisting he's a pony. - Asking to ride on his back. - Trying to ride on his back without asking. - Especially if it's bareback. - Or in human form. He doesn't give piggyback rides. - Kick him, he kicks you. Even if it's not right away, he's probably planning on doing it when you least expect it. - Walking in front of him and standing still while he's human. Even without the blind spot, it pisses him off. - Don't pet him on the nose when he's human either. - Or offer him sugar cubes unless he's about to drink tea. - Personal space means personal space.

Sati never eats beef because the cow is sacred to her Hindu faith, nor does she partake in anything made from pig because they are so intelligent, nor crustaceans because they are cooked by being boiled alive. Lamb and mutton may be consumed on special occasions, and while she feels fine about eating fish or chicken (so long as they were not treated cruelly in life or during the slaughter) she will still always take a vegetarian alternative if it is offered. She's never heard of "foodie intellectual" Michael Pollan, but her diet very much follows his mantra of "Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants."
Though celibate by choice until marriage, she is heterosexual, and her type of man is someone who is simultaneously destructive and beneficent, however the fuck that would work. But she just may end up being drawn to a man even if he only displays the destructive attributes. Physically speaking she finds men with dreadlocks and/or a feminine build to be attractive, but those are all just benefits, not requirements. The REAL deal is about what's inside, or at least, about the whole destructive/benevolent thing.

Will has absolutely none of Basil's qualms about people making horse jokes. Mostly because he was piggy-back ride machine for his sisters before he caught versi.
Will will do basically anything for his sisters except buy them cigarettes or alcohol, not that any of them have asked. This includes hiding bodies and taking bullets. Not that it's ever come up.
The same is true of good friends -- but please never force him to choose between friends and family, it will get ugly.
Will's sisters -- Julia, 21, moved out and lives with her girlfriend lemur shifter; Maryanne, 17, graduates high school soon, ocelot shifter; Kit, 14, Will's favorite and not a shifter, knows how to play her family to her advantage. The twins Beth and Liz, age 10, (no, they're not both Elizabeth -- short for Bethany and Eliza) bluejay and gecko shifter respectively; Kayla, age 6, bear shifter; and Erica, age 4, turtle, nearly died of versi complications.
Will, when shifted, can carry Kit and all his shifted sisters on his back.
Will has the worst gaydar. Nearly everyone he's set Julia or Maryanne with has turned out not to be interested in women, and he's been on multiple dates with men that he honestly thought was just hanging out.
Will is attracted to femininity as much as women. Not that he only likes women that are feminine, but anyone he's attracted to is one or the other, if not both.
It kind of upsets Will when people think he's gay. He doesn't have any problem with being gay, it's just he's... not. And he's worried that someday he'll miss Mrs. Right because she thinks he's not interested.
Will is a wimp when it comes to minor pain, like shots, piercings, or waxing/plucking.
Horseshoes squick him out so hard. Nails in his nails dear god.

Post by Melisande Fitzroy on May 11, 2012 5:52:22 GMT -5
Oh gosh there is so much. Seriously. This is like, just a small glimpse. Some may not be mentioned in RP, some may eventually.
Melisande is far more comfortable in American than France. She likes it better here, but she can not place why. It feels more like 'Home' than France did.
Meli can actually be pretty violent. She's not bothered by shoving or pushing people out of the way to get what she wants, and anyone who puts a hand on her butt will probably get an ill-aimed, not very good punch fired at them.
Melisande hates summer head. She feels gross when she's all sweaty, so she spends a lot of time wither in a pool or a cool bath when it's super hot.
Meli loves socks. All kinds of socks. Even ugly ones. She has a collection of socks that she just wears around the house, because due to their patterns they don't fit any clothes.
Melisande has never been to a Birthday party other than her own, a school dance, or been trick or treating. Due to getting ill often, and due to not actually attending a school, Meli missed a lot of those experiences.
Melisande likes to sit in trees when it's raining. Something about the tree swaying in the wind, and the raindrops, makes her really happy. Unfortunately that means she often has a cold after.
Melisande doesn't understand some slang. Despite being fluent in English, Slang is often one of those things that confuses the heck out of her.
Horses terrify Melisande. Seriously. Even the miniature ones. She does not like the crazy look they can get in their eyes, and she is afraid of their teeth. This is due to being bit by a horse when she was a child, and her mother insisted on Equestrian Lessons.
Melisande is allergic to Tomato soup. She isn't sure why, but something about it makes her really sick. Meli's favorite color is red. Bright red. Dark red. Brown-red. Red in every iteration is loved. Oddly, she generally isn't too fond of pink when it comes to clothes.
Melisande always wanted to learn how to play Lacrosse.
Melisande has all the grace of a two legged elephant. She tends to have bruises and such from running into her own walls or something while distracted.
Melisande's brain is rarely 'Quiet'. She's always moving from topic to topic.
Melisande actually plans out conversations with people in her head. Entire conversations that she will probably never ever have, including the other person's responses and such.
Meli has a huuuuge obsession with children's movies. They are her favorite things to watch, and she always wanted to go on an awesome adventure with talking animals pals.
When Meli was a child, she wanted to grow up to be a rainbow.
Melisande has never been to a Zoo.
Melisande is really lucky. It's like she was born holding a four leaf clover. Things tend to go her way.
Melisande is terribly addicted to gambling. She is a fierce poker player, and once she's in front of a slot machine you won't see her for a while.
Melisande has never been drunk. Despite being a Bartender, she has only had wine and port before at special occasions.
Meli hates Food Network, she thinks most people on there are talentless hacks.
Meli reads really, really fast.
Melisande looooves mythology. Not just pure fantasy books.
She also finds religion fascinating. It was never a large part of her life, and sometimes she feels as if she missed out. She has not chose a religion yet, but will often research things about them.
Melisande is addicted to Wikipedia.
