(Credit for coming up with the pronoun goes to me, credit for the awesome write up of it goes to the lovely Admin Phoenix)
So, new member, you were trawling our humble site when you noticed, with some confusion, an invented word that appears around the place.
We're happy to have third gender/gender-queer individuals and we came up with our own third gender pronoun, ani/anee/anis.
In a situation where you would use him or her, you use ani. You pronounce it an-eye
"Would you look at ani?"
If you would use he or she, you use anee, and pronounce it an-ee.
"Who does anee think anee is, anyway?"
For the possessive, his or hers, you say anis -- an-ize.
"That outfit of anis is a disaster."
You can probably guess this one, but in place of himself or herself, you use aniself.
"I wish anee would keep anis hands to aniself!"
If you're not on first name terms with ani, they're Min Surname, not Mister or Mistress. If you write them a letter, you abbreviate it Mn. Surname.
If you don't know their name, but still have to call them something (any place you'd use sir or madam) you use mir.
"Let me get that for you, mir."
