His eyes are a warm chestnut-brown color and slightly slanted, hinting at an Eastern ancestor somewhere in his bloodline. He has a strong jaw and angular face. Strengths: Jasper has a knack with computers and computer programming. He's always loved messing with HTML and coding, so it was a skill he developed all on his own as a young teenager surfing the web and reading guidelines. Some of his skills lean toward the unlawful: pirating (gotta download and have those new tunes and movies). But he's also good at modifying hardware and tinkering with machines, a skill that helps him to pull in extra cash when not studying or in class.
Weaknesses: A fear and a great dislike of bugs, yet his fear of stepping on his best friend has made him paranoid that any bug underfoot could be him. These two fears have forced him to constantly face his fear of bugs (though they terrify and gross him out, a fact that has left him being laughed at numerous times) and be more aware of them (a fact that he hates). He's also begun studying the habits of various insects in the hopes to better understand his friend in his other form. Although no one has heard of it happening yet, there may be a day when his best buddy shifts into a different insect than the one he was the day before. What then? These worries plague him. He'd rather be prepared for the day it happens then accidently squish his friend because he thought he was an evil termite eating its way into his home.
His eye sight is very poor and most of the time he wears glasses, though he occasionally wears contact lenses.
History: When the infection spread Jasper was relieved to find he was immune to the disease. He was still in high school when the infection spread and didn't need another worry to add to his worries of entering college and living in the dorms. Instead of worrying about shifting into some other creature he had to worry about whether his new roommate would be shifting into some unknown creature. It goes unsaid that his family, all of whom remained immune to the infection, were relieved that he was as well. They worry for his safety living away from home at the University, but they accepted his decision to live in the dorms and only pester him with frequent calls to know that he is safe and not being threatened by some mutant lion shifter(his family fears the shifters and don't like the changes they have brought to the world).
