Name: Elinore Lewis
Nicknames: Eli, Twitchy, Fur-butt
Date of birth/age: 9 March 1987 / 25
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Lesbian
Job: Librarian at the West Dade Regional Library
Human or shifter: Shifter
Degrees/Permits: High school diploma, bachelor's degree in English literature, master's degree in library sciences.
Languages Spoken: English and a teensy tiny little bit of very awkward Spanish.
Appearance:
PB: Denise Bidot.
Elinore is about 5'5 and, while overweight, perfectly fine with the way she is. Pleasantly plump, she has a full, curvy figure and definitely in the plus-sized region. She usually makes her own clothes, and prefers to dress in light and breezy dresses the reach at least down to her knee and preferably a little longer.
She has smooth, pale skin that will only burn and peel and burn again in the Miami sun. Her long brown hair is her pride and joy and it has only become softer since she caught febris versipellis.
Her eyes and smile stand out when people look at her. Her smile, when she's smiling, is always wide and sincere and reaches over her whole face. Elinore has big brown eyes with a slight almond shape to them.
She has a little, light brown spot on the tip of her nose, slightly off-centre to the left. It isn't much of anything, really, but she did get teased a little over it with the witch's wart compared to her little spot.
Personality: Elinore is a warm, caring, sweet young woman who manages to worry about everything. She has a very vivid imagination and can, unfortunately for her, come up with all kinds of unpleasant things that could happen to her even while walking down the stairs. It used to be so bad that there were days where she was afraid to go outside, but she has managed to mellow out a little after catching and surviving the Versi infection and figuring out that she could suddenly heal a lot faster and better than before.
She hasn't quite yet come to terms with the whole shifter thing. She's a rabbit, for crying out loud. A fluffy, white rabbit with so much wool that she needs to be combed regularly. Personally, she would have preferred being a tortoise.
Elinore makes her own clothes and will happily do the same for her friends if they'd ask. She also loves cooking and baking and can spend hours in the kitchen making the perfect dish or trying to decorate cupcakes or make a cake look even better, and of course plenty of taste testing. You're not supposed to trust a skinny chef.
When it comes to her body, Elinore has long since given up the whole diet thing. It's all useless and she likes being who she is. Following a diet only makes her cranky and miserable and that's just not worth it.
Strengths:
- Great cook. She loves cooking and she's good at it. She'd feed everyone if she got a chance.
- Sensible. You'll never find her barging straight ahead into danger. She's the person who'll sit back and try and come up with a plan.
- Prepared. Elinore has a bag. You could call it a purse, but that doesn't do the sheer vastness of its contents justice. She has first aid kits, emergency rations, mechanically-powered flashlights, you name it, she's got it. That bag goes /everywhere/ with her.
Weaknesses:
- Coward. As sensible and prepared as Elinore is, she's also a coward at heart and will panic and freeze up if suddenly thrown into a dangerous situation.
- Her wool in animal form. It's far too thick and fluffy for Miami temperatures and she needs regular grooming to keep her wool from matting. She can't do it herself so usually her roommate or friends get to brush and occasionally take the sheers to her.
- Sunburn. Elinore cripsifies in direct sunlight an it hurts. Oh, how it hurts. Sure, she'll heal up quickly from it, but still. Pain.
History:
Elinore was born in Horseshoe Beach, Florida, a tiny town with little over 200 people. One of those places where everyone knew everyone and could, at times, be almost claustrophobic. Elinore loved it, though. It was comfortable, she knew how life was and how things were done. Her mother, however, wasn't that fond of small town life, yearning for travelling and big cities to the point where she began to resent her husband for keeping her in that small town.
Elinore's parents divorced when she was twelve and she staid with her dad while her mother took off to see the world. It was upsetting and Elinore suddenly realized that nothing was certain. Her tendency to fret and worry and cowardice, already faintly present, bloomed up then.
Her father remarried when Elinore was sixteen. Her step-mother, Mary, was key to getting Elinore back into the world. She involved the young teenager in everything she did, dragging her out and showing that the world wasn't that bad. At seventeen, Elinore got a little half-brother, whom she loves dearly.
She graduated high school and had to leave town to get into college. She wasn't that far away from home and, while unnerving, it also was kind of exciting. Right up until she caught febris versipellis. She was hopelessly, miserably ill for about two weeks, but after that she went right back to classes, not yet catching on to just what the disease had caused.
Well, until the teacher dropped a pile of books during a class and she promptly shifted into a fluffy, white rabbit. Yeah, she was less than thrilled herself. Luckily, and probably because of her harmless animal shape, Elinore had no real trouble staying in school and her father and step mom, while worried and a little upset at first, easily came to terms with Elinore's being a shifter.
She decided against going back to Horseshoe Beach, not wanting to cause trouble because she didn't know how the small town would react to her now, and instead headed to the terrifyingly big city. Miami. There were supposed to be plenty of shifters there. She got a job as librarian at West Dade Regional, moved into an apartment and got herself a room-mate.

Species: English angora rabbit
Group: mammal
Conservation status: no status, but widely domesticated.
Appearance:
Abilities: Elinore's strength hasn't increased by much. It's not even all that noticeable. Her stamina has increased and, in case of an emergency, she can run very quickly and very far. Of her senses, her hearing and sense of smell have increased tremendously, not always to her advantage. Her healing is still pretty average for shifters.
